Programme Areas

  • School on Wheels

    School on Wheels project is implemented in slums of municipal ward A, B and E situated in South Mumbai. The main objective of the project is to ensure pre-primary and primary education for all children up to 14 years of age leading to their overall educational development.

  • Project Umeed

    Project Umeed is implemented in 5 slums (Garibnagar, Behrampada, Indira Nagar Pipeline, Patel Nagar and Kherwadi) situated near Bandra Railway Station in the heart of Mumbai. Launched in 2009

  • Slums of South Mumbai

    Plan India has been working in the slums of municipal ward A, B and E in South Mumbai since 2008 to promote right to early childhood development and quality education of children.
