PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Global Fund is supporting “Intensified Malaria Elimination Project-III (IMEP-III)” for the grant period April 2024 – March 2027 within the existing framework of National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC). Under the IMEP-3 grant, PLAN INDIA has been selected as Sub-Recipient to work in High endemic districts for the states of Odisha and Tripura.

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB
To assist in providing and maintaining efficient & effective financial services to GFATM Malaria Project. Responsible for implementation of defined areas of work within the finance function. To manage the financial accounting, reporting and compliances of the GFATM Malaria project.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance Coordinator will work in closely with Deputy Director Finance and Manager Finance to ensure that the project financial activities are executed on time and will be responsible for the following major activities:
• Reviewing and Processing the staff advances
• Reviewing and Processing the expenses submitted by the staff members including field staff
• Coordinate with the concerned project technical team/ program team.
• Ensure that all necessary supporting documents are received from staff including field staff and verified for accuracy and adequacy;
• Receive and review the monthly invoice along with supporting documents from service provider;
• Follow with program team to provide all supporting documents to process the payment;
• Ensure that the financial documents are well organised and maintain for audit purposes;
• Ensure that all field staff meet reporting deadlines; maintain necessary communication with field staff in coordination with the concerned program team;
• Ensure compliance of all financial operations on a regular basis in accordance with laid down financial systems and procedures;
• Conduct physical/ virtual monitoring visits to field areas as and when required and support the field staff on financial and donor compliance aspects;
• Perform all other responsibilities as delegated
• Coordinate with admin team for periodic reporting on existence and condition of assets/ items kept at the OSC.
• Supporting the DD Finance and Manager – Finance while preparing the budgets/ rebudgeting requests

Travel Requirement: 40%

Minimum Qualifications and work experience:
• Graduation/Master’s Degree in business administration, business studies, business management, or related field, with a specialization in Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a similar organization
• Experience with donor finance reporting
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and outstanding communication skills to effectively communicate within and outside the organization to collect and consolidate relevant financial data
