ABOUT THE PROJECT
Plan India will implement the “Truckers Wellness Project – Nayasafar” to support truckers and allied transport workers who play a vital role in maintaining the country’s supply chain and economy. The project aims to improve their overall wellbeing through a person-centered approach by providing health and wellness services such as disease screening, mental health support, NCD check-ups, and treatment for common ailments. The initiative will also focus on addressing lifestyle-related disorders by creating supportive facilities including rest areas, recreational spaces, gym, toilet, and bathing facilities. The project will be implemented in coordination with public and private healthcare systems at district and state levels.
SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The role is responsible for remotely monitoring and supporting the implementation of Truckers Projects under Plan India by tracking project activities, deliverables, timelines, and reporting systems. The position will coordinate closely with field teams, support documentation and data analysis, and ensure effective communication and progress monitoring. The engagement aims to strengthen project implementation efficiency, accountability, visibility, and overall reporting mechanisms through technical monitoring and coordination support.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Project Monitoring & Tracking
- Track project activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth implementation.
- Coordinate with field teams for regular progress updates and follow-ups.
B. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and compile project reports, documentation, case studies, and activity updates.
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting systems.
C. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with internal teams, field staff, and stakeholders for effective project execution.
- Facilitate regular meetings, follow-ups, and communication flow.
D. Monitoring Compliance
- Ensure project implementation follows organizational policies, donor guidelines, and reporting timelines.
- Support audit readiness and compliance documentation.
E. Data Management & MIS Support
- Maintain project MIS, databases, trackers, and monitoring tools.
- Compile, verify, and analyze project data for reporting and review.
F. Project Design Support
- Support development of project plans, proposals, tools, and implementation strategies.
- Assist in research, documentation, and development of IEC/materials and reporting format.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, or related disciplines or relative fields
- Experience in CSR, NGO, donor-funded, or community development projects shall be preferred.
- Skills in reporting, documentation, coordination, and digital communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office and online meeting platforms.
