Level of Contact with Children: 2 (Sporadic or occasional contact with children)
The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policy.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Manager will work closely with the Plan India Programme and Communication team, and support in program documentation and reporting.
- Develop and execute programme documentation and communication strategies in line with organizational and donor requirements.
- Collaborate with programme teams to gather, validate, and document project achievements, innovations, challenges, and key learnings.
- Prepare high-quality success stories, case studies, human-interest stories, best practices, and other knowledge products highlighting programme impact.
- Maintain and update a centralized repository of programme reports, photographs, videos, presentations, and other communication resources for knowledge management.
- Assist programme teams in the timely preparation of quarterly, annual, and donor reports.
- Review, edit, and proofread reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance with organizational and donor standards.
- Ensure uniformity in messaging, branding, formatting, and visual identity across all programme communication materials.
- Draft, edit, and refine content for reports, proposals, concept notes, newsletters, brochures, website articles, blogs, speeches, briefing notes, presentations, and other communication products.
- Develop communication materials for internal and external stakeholders, including presentations, fact sheets, infographics, promotional materials, and briefing documents.
- Create engaging content for the organization’s website and social media platforms to enhance programme visibility and outreach.
- Design and produce communication collaterals for programme events, workshops, trainings, campaigns, consultations, and project launches.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager in support of programme communication and documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in programme documentation, communications, or knowledge management.
- Experience in donor reporting, success story development, and programme documentation.
- Experience in developing content for websites, social media, and communication materials.
- Prior experience in the development/non-profit sector is preferred.

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and content development abilities.
- Effective coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Canva/Adobe Creative Suite is an added advantage.
