We're excited to launch the 7th edition of the Plan India Impact Awards in 2024, celebrating the incredible journey of the past six editions, with winners to be announced at the award ceremony on 23rd August.

The Plan India Impact Awards celebrate frontline workers and community volunteers who drive India's development and uplift vulnerable communities. These awards honor grassroots champions who overcome tremendous challenges to become agents of change.

We're deeply inspired by their passion and commitment to serving the most vulnerable and proudly recognize their achievements annually.

The Process

Stage 1 Screening by Sub Jury
  • Sub Jury Composition: Domain experts from Plan India and external professionals.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Review and check all nominations.
    • Evaluate nominations across each category.
    • Shortlist the top eight to ten candidates in each category based on detailed assessments and aggregate scores.
Stage 2

Shortlisted nominations are forwarded to the National Jury Nomination Committee.

Stage 3 Screening by National Jury
  • National Jury Composition: A distinguished panel of 10 highly accomplished individuals from various walks of life.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Conduct the final review of the shortlisted nominations.
    • The Chair of the Jury will make the final decision in case of a tie.
    • Select the top three winners (Winner, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up) in each category.

This two-stage process ensures a comprehensive and fair evaluation to recognize the most deserving nominees.

Plan India presents the Radhika Sen Memorial Award

Digital Champion for Girls’ Rights recognizes the transformative impact of social media and digital initiatives in advancing gender equality and empowering marginalized communities. Through this award, Plan India honors girls and young women who have become powerful advocates for change, using digital platforms to promote girls' education, raise awareness about gender equality, and drive community-based solutions. Their efforts have led to significant progress in creating a more inclusive and equitable society. By recognizing these efforts, Plan India aims to support and amplify the impact of digital champions who contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.

Anyone can be a nominator. To nominate someone, you can check out the guidance note corresponding to the category. Once you are sure that your nominee fulfils the criteria and is familiar with the guidelines, you can proceed to fill the nomination form with the requisite details.
Yes, a person can self-nominate.
Any individual/group can be nominated, provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria. The nominee should have demonstrated work to create a lasting impact in the community he/she/they work for.
No, one individual is eligible for nomination in only one category.
No, winners from the last 2 years are not eligible for the Plan Impact Awards 2024.
Yes, you can select one from the list of suggested documents in Guidance Note. You can provide one of these evidences; newspaper clippings, letters of appreciation from senior Government Official/Panchayat Head/District Official, any award received for the achievement mentioned, four to five photographs of nominee’s activities in the field (high resolution). In case of your shortlisting further documents can be asked to support the impact of the work done by the nominee.
