International Day of the Girl Child (IDG) and the Plan India Impact Awards (PIIA) are flagship initiatives of Plan International (India Chapter). IDG 2026 focuses on the intersection of climate change and girls' sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The theme highlights the disproportionate impact of climate change on girls while recognizing them as leaders driving climate action and community resilience. The 9th Plan India Impact Awards (PIIA) honours last mile champions creating meaningful change for children and girls. The awards recognize innovative and dedicated efforts that advance climate resilience, gender equality, and sustainable development. Together, IDG 2026 and PIIA celebrate leadership, inspire collective action, and strengthen partnerships to create lasting impact.
