Job Title: Manager – Corporate Partnership
Department: Marketing & Resource Mobilisation
Location: Mumbai
Duration: One year
Reporting to: Head – Corporate Partnership

Level of Contact With Children: 2 (Sporadic or Occasional contact with children/youth)
The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Policy & Gender Equality Policy.

SCOPE OF WORK

  1. DONOR PROSPECTING & ACQUISITION
  • To network and meet with the senior CSR stakeholders (such as HR head, CSR head, Marketing head and Head of Corporate Affairs) of potential corporate organizations to inform and derive synergies between CSR drivers and Plan India’s focus thematic areas by showcasing the impact of our work at the grassroot level.
  • To explore more areas of intersectionality with current donor clients and develop various avenues, ideas and opportunities to grow the relationship in mutual areas of interests.
  • To regularly interact and coordinate with the counterparts in international Plan offices for programme funding from international corporates and foundations.
  • To support the leadership team in representing Plan India in different corporate forums and events, CSR seminars and conferences, nationally and internationally, to network and with prospective corporates and enhance the visibility of the organization.
  • Design and make impactful presentations and effectively present them to donor stakeholders for building proposal related agreements.
  • Support the Project / Programme team in gathering impactful stories for the purpose of new donor prospecting and acquisition process in the particular geographical regions / states.
  • Maintain and update regularly the prospect trackers, metrics, proposals databank and trackers.
  • To create and update pitch presentations, case studies, and audios/videos for showcasing existing interventions
  • To ideate and support in developing sound products for corporate fundraising.
  1. PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT
  • To play an important role in timely development of top-quality proposals / concept notes in line with donor expectations. Coordinate closely with the programme team / finance and other teams.
  • To participate in the process of conceptualizing, writing draft proposals, bring in donor perspective and clarify expectations.
  • To finalize the proposal for submission after incorporating feedback from all stakeholders.
  1. KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT, RETENTION & DONOR SERVICING
  • Liaise with project team and all internal stakeholders to obtain updates and grant progress.
  • Ensure donors are regularly updated on the progress of the project and its impact.
  • Coordinate project visits for the donors, draw up itinerary and accompany them for getting first-hand experience and impact of their work on the ground.
  • Ensure effective key account management to enhance donor delight for continued and expanded partnerships.
  • Provide timely resolution of queries raised by corporate donors and ensure timely submission of donor reports to them.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and effective donor compliances such as timely dispatch of donor receipts, tax certificates, sharing the annual reports, etc.
  • Manage the grant agreements for corporate partners in terms of seeking extensions or tracking under-spends for internal reports.
  • Provide inputs for the creation of grant agreements/contract with the corporate partners to ensure they meet donor requirements
  • Review the grant agreements to ensure compliance to Plan India’s procedures, system and ethical guidelines.
  1. MANAGEMENT OF DONOR PIPELINE
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of prospective corporate partners to meet Fundraising targets for Corporate partnerships as per the mandate.
  • To maintain a pipeline for closures and realizations in the financial year comprising both new and existing corporate partners.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Postgraduate degree in Management / Business Administration / Social Work / Development Studies / Marketing / Communications or related field from a recognized university.
  • Additional certification in CSR, Fundraising, Proposal Writing, or Corporate Communications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in corporate fundraising, CSR partnerships, resource mobilization, or institutional donor management within the development/non-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in donor prospecting, proposal development, and corporate engagement.
  • Strong exposure to key account management, grant lifecycle management, and donor compliance processes.
  • Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams including programme, finance, communication, and leadership teams.
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and impact presentations.
  • Experience in managing donor visits, reporting schedules, and maintaining prospect trackers and CRM systems.
  • Exposure to engaging with senior corporate stakeholders such as CSR Heads, HR Heads, Marketing Heads, and Corporate Affairs representatives.
  • Understanding of CSR regulations, corporate funding mechanisms, and development sector dynamics in India.
  • Experience working in multi-state programme environments will be preferred
