25th May 2021, New Delhi – Lakhs of frontline COVID workers – nurses, ward boys, lab technicians, ambulance drivers, and sanitation workers are at the forefront of the battle against the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. While serving their duties and given the demands of their job their health and well-being is often impacted due to lack of adequate and quality nutrition. To support our frontline COVID warriors, two National-level not for profit organisations – Plan India and Yuva Unstoppable – have joined hands to launch the #BacktheFrontliners initiative. The ambition is to support 5,00,000 frontline COVID warriors and their family members across India.
#BacktheFrontliners initiative is proposed to be implemented nationally, in all the districts of our country. Plan India has committed itself to collaborate with Yuva Unstoppable in 30 districts across 9 States and ensure 1,00,000 frontline COVID workers and their families are supported with the Corona Warrior Kits. Each Corona Warrior Kit comprises of nutritious and immunity booster food items and pack of face masks, which will be provided to all the COVID warriors in collaboration with the respective District Administration.

Our partnership with Yuva Unstoppable will enable us support 1 lakh frontline COVID warriors and their family members.
