On October 11, 300 girls participated as part of the novel ‘takeover’ program initiated by Plan India. By taking charge of diplomatic missions, companies, a radio station and national statutory government body, each of these girls discussed crucial issues on gender equality and how women need to strongly represent decision-making in the society. This, indeed, was a perfect way to celebrate Plan India’s ‘Girls get Equal’ annual campaign on International Day of the Girl.
