Community empowerment through constitution of community level women’s groups known as Mahila Arogya Samitis and community mobilisation

  • Community mobilisation includes home visits to individual beneficiaries and families. However, the Cluster Coordinators and Project Coordinator are also supporting the process and provide on-site handholding to frontline community workers.
  • Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS): The objective of MAS is to generate community awareness, establish community based monitoring systems and promotion of MNCHN, WASH and locally relevant health issues in addition to promoting health risk pooling by community members. Monthly meetings of MAS along with training would immensely help in developing their knowledge confidence.
